Pop star Cheryl Cole has certainly added fuel to the gossip by peddling Chace Crawford's recent confession that he’d like to take her out.

Cheryl certainly sent out the green signal when a fan asked her on Twitter who her favourite actor is, by re-tweeting and responding: ‘Chace Crawford :D’
The cheeky response came after single Chace said: ‘If someone could arrange a date for me with Cheryl Cole, I’d be there straight away.’ After blushing, the 26-year-old Texan gushed: ‘She’s very lovely - is she single? I’ll try it on with her.’
Cheryl had a chance to cross paths with Chace on the set of their new film What to Expect When You’re Expecting.
‘She’s talented, beautiful, young. It’s the accent that makes her special’ the Gossip Girl hunk continued.
Meanwhile, Cheryl has had a dig at fellow popstar Rihanna, by saying that she’s going to be taking her responsibility as a role model far more seriously than the Umbrella singer.
‘Rihanna is a free spirit and doesn’t care if she calls somebody a **** on her Twitter. But there are 12-year-old girls on there,’ she said.
After her parents split when she was 11, she said: ‘I didn’t grow up with a role model so it’s nice to be somebody’s guide.’
And after performing on X Factor's rival show The Voice at the weekend, the Call My Name singer says she has put the world of X Factor troubles behind her.
She told Attitude magazine: ‘That show can drive anybody mental. I haven’t said anything about X Factor USA from that day to this. Why? Boring. It’s year-old news. I’ve made a whole new album since then.’
