You may remember quite a while back, there were reports that singer Cheryl Cole had been flirting with rapper MC Harvey, regularly emailing him. Now magazine led the story which claimed that Cheryl and her mother had both been in contact with the rapper, real name Michael Harvey.

Cheryl strongly denied those claims and took legal action against Now Magazine, taking them to court for the false reports. Now, it has been confirmed that MC Harvey and Now Magazine were dupped by a hoaxer and the magazine have had to pay Cheryl Cole damages and issue a public apology.
It read, "Although we said we’d seen several hundred emails, written over a six month period, apparently between Cheryl, her mother and Michael, we are now satisfied that the emails from Cheryl and her mother are not genuine. They appear to be the work of a calculated and meticulous hoaxer masquerading as Cheryl who went to great length to deceive Mr Harvey... The hoaxer's motives remain unknown, but what has become clear is that there was never any relationship between Cheryl and Michael... We’re sorry, Cheryl, for any embarrassment and upset we have caused you. We have agreed to pay Cheryl damages and her legal costs."

So Solid Crew rapper MC Harvey has yet to make any statement on the issue but he must be feeling very silly for letting himself get dupped like that. As for Cheryl Cole, she is currently dating Tre Holloway and the couple seem very happy together.
