Back in 2011, when it was announced that Cheryl Cole was a judge on the US version of The X Factor, the singer teamed up with will.i.am and a US Management team, in a bid to crack the American music market with her music. Unfortunately, things have not worked out anf Cheryl is giving up on cracking the US.
An insider told The Mirror, "Cheryl had originally brought in a new and experienced team to help her with cracking America when news of her 'X Factor USA' signing broke. But it's been two years since she was sacked and she no longer has plans or a desire to make it over there. She doesn't have a US record deal and, despite the rumours, is not going to be moving over there."
While Cheryl Cole has parted ways with will.i.am, the two stars are still said to be very close, with the source adding, "They remain good friends and were out for dinner in London last week."
Despite supposedly giving up on her American Dream, Cheryl Cole is moving to LA, to spend more time with her dancer boyfriend Tre Holloway. Her former Girls Aloud bandmate, Sarah Harding said, "I'm going to miss her. But I'm probably going to go out there at some point this year so hopefully we'll catch up then. Tre is lovely."
Cheryl Cole was linked to a return to both the UK and the US versions of The X Factor for the new season but, now that the panels have been revealed, it seems that we will not get a Cheryl Cole return.
