Former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole has opened up about the reason she decided to write her own autobiography, which released late last year. She was recently interviewed by MSN [via Celebrity Gossip] about the perceived backlash to the autobiography, and why she decided to write it in the first place.
She explained, "It was a tough decision. It was a battle with myself, with how I normally am because I am a very private person. But I was sick of reading lies, sick of reading misquotes."
She added, "Enough was enough and it was time for me to put out my side of the story, and the truth. And if i was going to do it I was going to do it honestly and frankly and truthfully, and not beat around the bush. So once I made the decision I knew it was going to be frank and open."
Cheryl Cole has certainly been through a lot, and almost every move she makes received widespread public attention. It's understandable that she would want to clear up the air, especially with regards to her ex-husband, the X Factor incident, and her split from Girls Aloud in 2013.
