British actor Benedict Cumberbatch has become one of the biggest stars on the face of the Earth, with millions of fans all across the globe, all excited just to get a glimpse of the star. It is often the case with huge Hollywood superstars, that their fans get quite hysterical around them, although there are some stars who are happy for the quiet life.
Chiwetel Ejiofor has become quite good friends with Benedict Cumberbatch over the years, after working together on projects in the past. The two stars are currently shooting the Marvel movie Doctor Strange together and Chiwetel has admitted that he does not envy the type of fame that Benedict has to deal with.
Ejiofor was chatting to Vulture.com, when he explained, "This is something that I'm very grateful for, but on the whole, people are very respectful with me. They're nice, and they ask for an autograph or photograph, and it very rarely has any kind of hysterical quality to it. That's the thing I don't respond very well to, and I see it very often with friends of mine."
He added, "For example, I'm working with Benedict Cumberbatch at the moment, and people have that quality when they're around him. They get a little hysterical about it, and that is really odd to watch. To be in the centre of that is very peculiar. But people still get a bit nuts. Each actor influences the people who go to see their movies in totally different ways. It's fascinating to see that distinction in action, but I'm sort of glad it's not something I contend with."
The Doctor Strange movie is set to hit the big screen on October 28, 2016 in the UK and on November 4, 2016 in the US.
