The already hugely impressive cast for the Marc Webb movie The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has now added another top name to the list of great stars. Now, Chris Cooper, who won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 2002 for his role in the movie Adaptation, has joined The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Chris Cooper will play Norman Osborn
It has been confirmed that Chris Cooper has signed up to play Norman Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It is not yet known whether or not Chris's Norman Osborn will also appear as the Green Goblin in the movie but, even if he doesn't, it certainly sets it up for a future movie.
It is not like The Amazing Spider-Man 2 needs another villain, as Peter Parker is already going to have his work cut out with the villains that are already lined up. Another Oscar winner, Jamie Foxx will star in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as Electro, while Paul Giamatti has been cast as Rhino.

And those are not the only new cast members joining Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, as Shailene Woodley is playing Mary Jane Watson, while Dane DeHaan is playing Harry Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will open on April 18, 2014 in the UK and May 2, 2014 in the US.
