While most actors in Hollywood can only dream of playing a superhero character on the big screen, actor Chris Evans has had the honour of playing two comic book characters in his career. Earlier in his career Chris played the role of Johnny Storm aka Human Torch in the Fantastic Four movies, while he is now better known for playing the role of Steve Rogers aka Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
When Chris Evans signed on to play Captain America he was contracted to appear in multiple movies for Marvel and, so far he has played the role in four movies with a fifth coming up next year. With the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier hitting the big screen, Chris has been talking about playing the character and he has claimed that he often found the Captain America costume smelled off.
Evans was speaking at the Tribeca grand premiere when he explained, "To be honest, I don’t even think they wash those things. You come to the set every day and you’re like, ‘I don’t know, this kind of smells a little ripe.’"
Chris Evans appears as Steve Rogers aka Captain America in the movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is out now in the UK and will open in the US tomorrow (April 4). Meanwhile, Chris will reprise his role once again for the Marvel movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is now filming and will hit the big screen on May 1, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
