Thor actor Chris Hemsworth has been talking about his role in this year’s big blockbuster movie The Avengers and he has been comparing it to the Star Wars movies. Chris admits that he is a huge Star Wars fan and the hype surrounding The Avengers reminds him a lot of that for the Star Wars films.
Hemsworth told GQ, “It was definitely a dream scenario. I was on The Avengers publicity tour and I had a real moment where it felt like I was part of something special. Kids were looking at The Avengers like I used to look at Star Wars. They were running around pretending to be us.” He also discussed his life growing up in Australia.
Chris added, “It was a different world. There were crocodiles and buffalo. We were isolated, one of two white families. We saw a lot of corroborees and tribal dancing. I have a wider understanding for the Aboriginal situation because of my time there. It’s an insight into that world that most people don’t get.”
Chris Hemsworth is currently filming the movie Thor: The Dark World, which is the sequel to the 2011 movie. Thor: The Dark World will also star Natalie Portman, Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston and is set to be released on November 8, 2013 in both the US and the UK.
