Australian actor Chris Hemsworth has revealed how he drew on his own brotherly experiences for his role in the movie Red Dawn. Chris has two brothers, Liam Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth, and admits that it was very helpful to have that experience when approaching this role.

Talking to Flicks and Bits, Hemsworth explained, “For me it was a story about brothers and friends and family. I've got two brothers, so having that in my life, it was something I could draw from for the film, that brotherly experience.”
He added, “Watching what happened at boot camp when everyone came together was fantastic because we were supposed to have been friends for a long time in the film, so the time we spent together was helpful in building that intimacy.”

Red Dawn cast
As well as Chris Hemsworth, Red Dawn also stars Josh Hutcherson, Josh Peck, Brett Cullen, Adrianne Palicki, Isabel Lucas and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Red Dawn was released in the US yesterday (November 21) but has yet to be given an official release date for the UK.
