The Marvel Cinematic Universe is huge and continues to get bigger and better every year and will continue to do so in the coming years. The Marvel movie The Avengers went on to become one of the biggest grossing movies of all time, managing to gross over $1.5b worldwide and there was no doubt that a sequel was going to get made.
Avengers: Age of Ultron will begin shooting later this year and Chris Hemsworth, who plays the role of Thor in the Marvel movies, has opened up about the film. Chris says that he was blown away when he was reading the script for Avengers: Age of Ultron, which he claims will take things to the next level.
Hemsworth was at the Wizard World Comic-Con in Sacramento, California when he told a very excited crowd, "Everything in [Age of Ultron] is ramped up though. It kind of blew me away reading [the script]. I don't know how Joss [Whedon] does it, but everyone has gone up another notch and the whole thing is bigger and more exciting and crazier. Yeah, he's a genius."
As well as seeing the return of Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Avengers: Age of Ultron will also see the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, as well as adding some new faces to the mix. Avengers: Age of Ultron will begin shooting in a couple of months and will then open on May 1, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
