Actor Chris Messina is known for his role as Reese Lansing in the popular television series The Newsroom (2012-13) which is a drama series about an anchorman whose life is stirred up when he has to work with a new team of co-workers. He co-stars with Jeff Daniels and Emily Mortimer.
Chris also co-stars with Mindy Kaling and several other former cast members from The Office in The Mindy Project (2012-13) as Danny Castellano in the funny adventures of an OB doctor who tries to balance her zany life at work and home.

She is faced with a plethora of events, some catastrophic, as she summons all of her inner strength to hold it all together.
Chris shines in his supporting role in this film, but he also directs the film,which is a new venture for Chris. We're seeing this fabulous actor expanding his expertise and experience in the film industry through this move, which helps him to see the process of film production from different points of view, and gives him more insight into the process.
Messina is also working on Manglehorn (2014) co-starring with Holly Hunter and Al Pacino in this upcoming drama film. There isn't a lot of information leaking about the film, but they are currently in the process of filming, so fans have something new to look forward to in the near future from Chris.
