There have been a whole host of different cooking shows on television over the years and, while we love to see the celebrity chefs doing their thing, there is nothing more exciting than watching wannabe chefs going head to head in cooking competitions. While some of these cooking shows give us some fine dining experiences, there are others that are not so exquisit.
MTV gave us the new cooking show Snack Off, which saw the competing chefs using some less than exciting ingredients. Supermodel Chrissy Teigen was one of the judges on Snack Off and Chrissy has admitted that some of the food that she had to eat on the show was horrible.
Teigen explained, "It’s weird how addicted I started getting to this food. I’ve never felt so horrible in my life. I don't know how dirty we can get here, but Snack Off is 'Top Chef' for stoners, kind of. You don't necessarily have all the ingredients that you would have on 'Top Chef' or 'Iron Chef,' like lobster... You're more so deconstructing a hot pocket and filling it with Cheetos."
While Chrissy Teigen has admitted that there was a lot of food that she tried on Snack Off that actually made her feel physically sick, she insists that she made sure she ate everything she was given. Chrissy even had access to a spit bucket by the side of her but refused to use it as she did not want to hurt anyone's feelings.
As for one of the more unusual dishes that she had to eat on Snack Off, Teigen explained, "At one point I ate a piece of Texas toast with a canned oyster on top with cut up maraschino cherries, and that actually won the episode."
We think we will stick to Top Chef then, thank you Chrissy.
