Batman actor Christian Bale has revealed how saying goodbye to the famous black suit, is a lot like saying goodbye to a very old friend. Christian Bale will appear as Batman for the third and final time, in the last of Christopher Nolan’s Batman Trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises and he has admitted that it was an honour to play the part for so long.
Bale explained, “It's like saying goodbye to an old friend. When you have the opportunity to be a character so many times, you develop another relationship with him, a more profound one.” He then added, “Shooting in seven different locations chosen by Nolan was a pleasure. It's really a privilege to work on, especially with the extraordinary troupe of actors, who always manage to meet Chris's expectations.”
The Dark Knight Rises will once again see the return of Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox and Michael Caine as Alfred. While the new villains will be Bane played by Tom Hardy and Catwoman played by Anne Hathaway. You can see Christian Bale pull on the famous black Batman suit for the last time, when The Dark Knight Rises is released on July 20, 2012.
