It seems that first time director Wally Pfister is getting together a fantastic cast for his directorial debut Transcendence. It was reported last week that Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp was set to star in the movie and now it appear that Wally has added more male firepower to his movie.

The Dark Knight Rises star Christian Bale is the latest name to be linked to Transcendence and, since the movie is set to have three male leads, Christian could find himself working alongside Johnny Depp. That is some superb casting and we would love to see them both on the big screen together.
Christian Bale is no stranger to Wally Pfister, having worked with the cinematographer on four separate movies, Batman Begins in 2005, The Prestige in 2006, The Dark Knight in 2008 and The Dark Knight Rises in 2012. However, this will be the first time that he has worked with Wally in the director’s chair.

Wally Pfister is currently following the trend, set by The Dark Knight Rises director Christopher Nolan, and is keeping the plot to Transcendence very under wraps. It is expected that Transcendence will begin filming in the winter with a release date yet to be confirmed.
