Dirty singer Christina Aguilera has revealed how she is happy with her body weight and does not care what other people think about her figure. Christina was famed for having a slim frame but has put on some extra weight over the years, much to the annoyance of her record label.
Aguilera revealed to Billboard how she confronted music bosses about her weight, “You are working with a fat girl. Know it now and get over it. They need a reminder sometimes that I don't belong to them. It's my body.” Christina admitted that she got bored with being thin following her 2002 album Stripped.
She added, The next time my label saw me, I was heavier, darker and full of piercings. Let me tell you, that wasn't an easy pill for them to swallow. They called this serious emergency meeting about how there was a lot of backlash about my weight. Basically, they told me I would affect a lot of people if I gained weight – the production, musical directors.”
Christina continued, "My body can't put anyone in jeopardy of not making money anymore. My body is just not on the table that way anymore." Christina Aguilera is set to release her new album Lotus in November, with Your Body as the lead single.
