With the new wave of redhead stars taking Hollywood by storm, it could be argued that redheads are becoming the new blondes. One actress who would certainly back that claim is Christina Hendricks, who is a natural blonde but dyed her hair red to help boost her acting career.

Christina Hendricks went from Blonde to Redhead
Hendricks herself previously admitted, “When I first started modelling I was blonde. Then I got a job and they wanted to do my hair bright red. I'd always wanted to, but the head of my agency was like, ‘You look terrible, it's so ugly, you cannot have red hair.’”
She continued, “I came back as a redhead and couldn't get my hair back to blonde for two days - in the meantime I had to audition. I booked two or three jobs, because were a lot fewer redheads than blondes, and I was like, ‘this is working for me, I'm keeping this!’”

Jessica Chastain is another redhead impressing in Hollywood
Christina Hendricks also stated that she feels that her fiery red hair makes her stand out in the crowd of Hollywood clones. While we could easily agree with this, it does seem that the redheads are becoming the new blondes with fellow redheads such as Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard also showing the power of the redheads.
