We have heard of many stars being involved in abusive relationships over the years and we have heard about singer Christina Milian being stuck in one when she was just 18 years old. Now, Christina has opened up about that relationship, with an unknown ex-boyfriend, going into some detail about what she had to go through on a daily basis.
During the recent episode of Christina Milian Turned Up, the singer explained, "He literally put a bullet in the gun and pointed it at my face... Staring down the barrel of a gun is the scariest thing you could ever experience. It's not funny, it's not for the movies. There's a chance of life or death in one click, that's it."
Meanwhile, in an interview with Huffington Post, she added, "Another time, he nearly killed me. I woke up to him choking me to the point I was barely able to scream out. Whatever I found in my reach, I grabbed and hit him with it. I still didn't know where to go. Your daily life is: 'How am I going to survive? But I love this man. I can't live without him but I can't live with him.' I was so torn."
Those of you who have been in abusive relationships, or are currently in an abusive relationship, will understand how difficult it is to break out of it. The same went for Christina Milian in this abusive relationship, before her mother and her record label at the time, joined together to buy her a ticket to New York, fleeing her life in Los Angeles.
