Christina Perri reveals inspiration behind Twilight song A Thousand Years
Singer Christina Perri has revealed how she came up with the inspiration to pen the song A Thousand Years for the soundtrack of the latest Twilight movie. Christina admitted that she came up with the idea after she watched one of the earlier Twilight movies.
Perri, who is one of a number of stars to pen songs for the new Twilight movie, explained, “I cried the whole time, then I went home and wrote the song about Edward and Bella and their love affair. It's probably the most romantic, lovey-dovey song I've ever written.”
Christina Perri rose to stardom following the success of her single Jar of Hearts, which has been featured on Glee and The X Factor. Her song A Thousand Years will appear in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, which is released on November 18. Check out the video below.
