Television personality Cilla Black has been a favourite with the British public for decades now and, as she recently turned 70, you would expect Cilla to slow down a little. After all, she has not been on television screens much in recent years. However, Pete Price, who developed a close friendship with Cilla, claims that she has a number of projects in the work, including a very secret project with Paul O'Grady.
Price said, "We became true friends after she came out of retirement in 2008 at the end of the Capital of Culture year and starred in one of the most successful panto's ever in the history of the Empire – Cinderella. I was blessed to be in it with her. People came from all over the world to see her and she received rave reviews. I've never seen standing ovations every night in panto before and to finish off with You're My World in the finale was the icing on the cake."
He added, "Now, at 70, there are still some very exciting projects in the pipeline – one being with her good friend, Paul O'Grady but it's top-secret so I can't say any more. I loved her in Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Loose Women, Piers Morgan and when she popped up as a swinger in Benidorm, I nearly fell off my seat."
We would love to see Cilla Black back on our screens and doing what she does best, so we are keeping our fingers crosses that this top-secret Paul O'Grady project pays off and we get to see her sooner rather than later.
