Cillian Murphy, while has a whole range of film roles in theater, television, and film, is possibly best known for his work in big, science fiction films. He has made a name for himself in science fiction films such as Batman Begins, Inception, Sunshine, and 28 Days Later, all either massive blockbuster successes or cult hits. He has had his misses [In Time], but more often than not, it seems like he actually takes risks and they pay off.
Cillian Murphy will next be seen in Transcendence
He agrees and when discussing his next big science fiction film [co-starring Johnny Depp], Transcendence, he says, "I like conceptual films. You go, wow – I'd like to get involved in that big idea. They don't always succeed, but I'm curious about them."
Murphy also expresses his desire to direct and work with musicians in the future through music videos, saying, "It's a way to keep my foot in the door and hang out with musicians …. There's no monetary gain, it's just, 'I like what you do and you like what I do – so let's make something.'"
