Over the years we have seen a lot of top actors and actresses making some poor choices in their careers and going from having a bright and promising career, to being stuck playing the same character all the time. Whether it be a movie role that they have signed on to play for multiple films or if it is a television series that has gone on to run for many years, often these stars can find that their careers have become overshadowed by that particular role.
Just last month there were suggestions that Hugh Jackman could find his career becoming overshadowed by Wolverine, having played the character on so many occasions and havng signed up for more movies as the X-Men hero. Now there are suggestions that Romeo and Juliet actress Claire Danes could start to find her career becoming overshadowed by her role in Homeland.
Claire Danes plays the role of Carrie Mathison in Homeland and has appeared in 37 episodes between 2011 and 2014. While Claire has enjoyed huge success with Homeland, bagging two primetime Emmy Awards for her performances, it does seem like her movie career is suffering and Claire herself even suggested that she needs to mix her roles up some.
The most recent role that Claire Danes played on the big screen was in the movie As Cool As I Am but the movie was a big flop, further strengthening arguments that Homeland is having a negative impact on her career. With that said, Homeland is one of the biggest shows on television at the moment and we are sure that Claire's career will be fine in the long-term. What do you think?
