Over the years we have seen many very talented stars coming through the ranks in Hollywood and making a name for themselves in the entertainment industry, going on to land a very big role in a very big project. Unfortunately for some of these stars, they go on to get typecast by these roles, which could eventually lead to their talent becoming overshadowed by their familiar character.
There is certainly an argument that could be made that this is pretty much what has happened to actress Claire Danes, who has been working in Hollywood for over 20 years now. Claire has appeared on the big screen in some very enjoyable roles over the years, proving that she has the talent to mix it with some of the biggest and best stars that Hollywood has to offer.
In 2011, Claire Danes landed the role of Carrie Mathison in the new television series Homeland, which has since gone on to become a huge success all over the world. Claire has appeared as Carrie in 41 episodes of Homeland, bagging herself two Golden Globes, as well as two Primetime Emmy Awards along the way.
However, while Homeland has been so hugely successful, the movie career of Claire Danes has stalled in a big way, with only one movie released since Homeland first aired. That movie was the 2013 film As Cool As I Am, which was heavily panned by the critics and is considered a huge flop, which leads to the question, has the Homeland success had a negative impact on Claire Danes movie career?
While it is a fair argument to make, there is no denying that Claire Danes is a hugely talented actress and we are sure that her movie career will get back on track in due time.
