As The Vampire Diaries closes in on its season finale, some of the cast are preparing to shoot the spin-off show The Originals, which airs later in the year. One of those stars is Claire Holt, who plays Rebekah in the hit The CW show and she has admitted that she would love to have some romantic scenes with Zach Roerig, who plays Matt.
Holt told Hollywood.com, "I think Matt’s going to see a side to Rebekah he’s never seen before. He’s dying to see some of the good qualities that she has. She’s very vindictive — girl is definitely going out for what she wants. I think fans will be happy with the outcome. Whether it’s long-lasting or not I don’t know, but it’s definitely going to tie up some loose ends, I think.”
Claire then went on to admit she would love some romantic scenes with Zach, “I kind of hope so too. I’ve had a lot of lovely male conquests on that show so Zach Roerig would be welcomed as another. There’s one thing we shouldn’t look out for as high school graduation approaches, however: Stebekah. Rebekah and Stefan ain’t gonna happen, y’all."
The Vampire Diaries season four airs on The CW on Thursday, May 16, while The Vampire Diaries season five will premiere on The CW later in the year. Meanwhile, the spin-off show The Originals stars Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies and Phoebe Tonkin and airs on The CW later in the year.
