Actress Cobie Smulders was recently interviewed by Fashion magazine for whom she is on the cover and she admitted that she almost missed out on being part of the hit show as she was presented with three projects and had to choose one. She noted how angry she would have been had she missed out on the opportunity to play in this long running comedy series which has provided her the opportunity to develop and refine her craft as an comedic dramatic actress.
Cobie Smulders is the cover model for the March 2014 issue of Fashion magazine and it is during this interview that she discloses how her character on "How I Met Your Mother" was initially the one that all the men chased but later on in the series the character grew emotionally and that is what made the character so interesting. On the cover of Fashion magazine Cobie Smulders looks fantastic while wearing a plunging low cut dress as she looks strong and sexy but interestingly for her next role she wants to challenge herself and her dramatic range.
The next dramatic role that Cobie Smulders would like to play is not a strong woman such as Robin Scherbatsky in "How I Met Your Mother" but a weaker character with flaws that make her more vulnerable and will require Cobie Smulders to dig deep emotionally to display the vulnerable emotional side that she has not had to display consistently.
Cobie Smulders in 2014 is on the movie screens as the voice of Wonder Woman in "The Lego Movie" and later this year she will be seen in the romantic comedy "They Came Together" and she will return to her role as Agent Maria Hill from "The Avengers" in the movie "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" which is scheduled for an April 2014 release so her acting slate is quite busy in 2014.
Entertainment and television insiders shudder at the thought that if Cobie Smulders had chosen a different television project the fans of "How I Met Your Mother" might have never been able to watch her on the show. Thankfully, Cobie Smulders chose "How I Met Your Mother" because while she admits that she would have been very angry to miss out on the show, so would her fans have been angry at having missed out on watching her over the past nine years as the beautiful, strong-willed Robin Scherbatsky.
