Comic Con loses another major studio

It appears that things are going from bad to worse for this year’s Comic Con, as yet another major studio has decided to pull out of the event. Those of you, comic book geeks hoping to get a peek at some unseen footage of The Dark Knight Rises at Comic Con 2011, can think again.

Warner Bros. are following the trend and not attending Comic Con this year, so therefore The Dark Knight Rises will not be shown. Studios have decided to boycott this year’s Comic Con as they do not feel that it helps to boost tickets sales upon the movie’s release.

Last year’s Comic Con saw Scott Pilgrim vs the World as the most hyped film of the year, however once released, the film failed to set the box office alight. Films that can be seen at this year’s Comic Con include Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and The Amazing Spider-Man. Comic Con runs from July 21 until July 24.
