Over the years we have seen many people come and go from television shows and, while some of these leave the door open for a possible return, there are others who find their character being killed off. This is very much the case in British television soaps and there have been plenty of character deaths over the years.
One such soap, to see plenty of characters killed off over the years, is Coronation Street and they have some more coming up this year. Actress Michelle Keegan, who plays the role of Tina in Coronation Street, revealed a while back that she was leaving the show, with the possibility of making a return. However, the producers have since decided to kill her off, something which Michelle is upset about.
During a recent chat with OK magazine, Keegan explained, "I was gutted to find out, but I was gutted for Tina more than anything because I always thought she was one of those characters that could come back in the future. She's got no family and I thought a relative could come in for her because she's not had a very good life. Her dad died, she hasn't had much luck with men - and then her life is over."
Michelle Keegan first appeared on the cobbles of Coronation Street, in her now familiar role of Tina McIntyre, back in 2008 and has appeared in 794 episodes of the show to date. It will be interesting to see where Michelle Keegan's career goes from here.
