It is fair to say that those in charge of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are a little bit too scared to kill off the big name characters at their disposal, which does make sense but takes away that sense of fearing for a characters life. After all, Agent Coulson was killed off in The Avengers but then brought back to lead the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series.
So, with that in mind and assuming the fact that Joss Whedon and co. will feel the need to kill at least somebody off in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, could we see a slightly lesser character losing their life. If so, it could just be that we will see Cobie Smulders saying goodbye to Maria Hill in the movie, giving the Marvel superheroes someone to mourn without it being too serious.
We already known now that Cobie Smulders will be appearing in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, with the actress herself confirming the news recently. However, when she was quizzed about making future appearances in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Cobie was reluctant to really say anything and even seemed not to be too sure on her future with the character.
With that said, there has already been plenty of complaints about the Marvel Cinematic Universe not having enough strong female characters, so it would be silly to kill off a character such as Maria Hill. We are pretty sure that somebody will be killed off in The Avengers: Age of Ultron and we look forward to finding out who.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron opens on May 1, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
