Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo is rumored to be heading back to his old club as he is selling his house in Madrid. Manchester United appear to be ready to launch a bid of £65 million plus a player bid for the 28-year-old Portuguese who enjoyed a great season in Real Madrid. He has recently rejected to extend his contract with Los Blancos with only two years remaining on his current deal.
United are keen on taking advantage of the situation in Madrid as they also believe Ronaldo wouldn't mind coming back to his old club. It is believed United's backup plan is to bring Gareth Bale to Old Trafford but Tottenham have reportedly set a asking price of £80 million for the talented Welshman.
If Ronaldo were to switch to United it would be a huge boost for new boss David Moyes who would switch the focus of fans off himself to Ronaldo. It is believed Ronaldo would be made the highest paid player if he were to return alongside Rooney who is currently making £250,000 a week.
Ronaldo's sponsor Nike is also involved in the deal. Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly looking at the situation closely and could launch a official bid of their own any time soon now.
