The Australian legal drama Crownies is now nearly half way through its first season and the question on everybody’s lips is, will it get commissioned for a second season? At the moment there is no news from ABC1 about a second season but the show has become quite the hit.
The majority of the critics have praised the show for its ability to manage the balance of serious courtroom drama, with the fun and often racy personal lives of the characters. As always, there are those who have negative opinions but the feedback has been mainly positive.
Crownies, follows the lives of a group of people working for the Office of the Department of Public Prosecution in Australia. The show stars Indiana Evans, Todd Lasance and Ella Scott Lynch. It has just aired its ninth episode of a twenty two episode run, so there is still plenty of time for a second season to be confirmed. Fingers crossed.
