Following the huge global success of the EL James novel Fifty Shades of Grey, it was no real surprise when it was announced that a Fifty Shades of Grey movie was being made. Once that announcement was made, almost everybody had an opinion on which stars should play what characters in the film.
There were a few runaway favourites for who should play Christian Grey and who should play Anastasia Steele but, as is often the case with Hollywood, the two stars that were named were not even mentioned by the fans. It was announced that Dakota Johnson would play Anastasia Steele, while Charlie Hunnam was cast as Christian Grey.
Unfortunately, Charlie Hunnam decided to pull out of the project but it did not take long to find his replacement in Jamie Dornan. The Fifty Shades of Grey movie began filming back in December and it has now been reported that, since shooting for the film has gone so well, they are well ahead of schedule and will most likely complete filming on Sunday (February 23).
As well as starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, the Fifty Shades of Grey movie also stars Jennifer Ehle, Max Martini, Eloise Mumford, Marcia Gay Harden, Luke Grimes and Rita Ora. The Fifty Shades of Grey film is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, based on the screenplay developed by Kelly Marcel, with a release date set for February 13, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
