While there are often a lot of child stars who struggle to maintain a career for themselves as they get older, there are also those who continue to have a steady career and remain active in the entertainment industry. Actress Danica McKellar rose to fame as a child star, playing the role of Winnie Cooper in the hit television series The Wonder Years and has continued enjoying her career ever since.
As well as enjoying a successful acting career over the past few years, Danica McKellar has also become known for being a maths genius and now, she will try to WOW people with her dancing skills on the hit series Dancing With The Stars. Danica has spoken about appearing on the show admitting that, while she is far from being a trained dancer, she has had some dance lessons in the past.
McKellar was being interviewed by Fox411, when she explained, "Hardly! Back in 2006 I did a movie that had a tango scene in it, and for that month I did take intensive lessons for that project. I loved the experience and had kept dancing as an on-again off-again hobby. I have always wished I could really take the time to focus on dancing and now this is really exciting for me to finally have that opportunity!"
As well as featuring Danica McKellar, Dancing With The Stars also includes Sean Avery, Candace Cameron Bure, Drew Carey, Meryl Davis, NeNe Leakes, James Maslow, Diana Nyad, Amy Purdy, Cody Simpson, Charlie White and Billy Dee Williams. Dancing With The Stars airs on ABC on Monday evenings at 8/7c.
