Danica Patrick enjoys racing at the Daytona International Speedway and it shows in her results as she earned the third top 10 placing of her career at the Sprint Cup Coke Zero 400 race with an 8th place finish.

Race observers noted how the talented racer seems to be really comfortable and confident when racing around the 2.5 mile Daytona track as this is the second time she has placed 8th at Daytona with the first being achieved during the 2013 Daytona 500.
Danica Patrick this season is showing an improved ability to avoid the crashes which have knocked her out of 'point' contention and this 8th place finish might have been even higher had the race not been ended early as a result of the rain which resulted in the 160-lap race being ended at Lap 112.

There were two major accidents that took place in this race, on early and one late, the latter of which resulted in her moving up 15 spots prior to the ending of the race. Some race observers are not sure that Danica Patrick of a year ago would have been savvy enough to avoid these wrecks and the fact that she did in this race is a testatment to her maturation as a racer.
Another aspect of her driving that has been very impressive to some race insiders and bodes well for her upcoming races is how she has dealt with adversity mid-race. In this race she made a pit-stop mistake and missed her pit box. The mistake could have been devastating but instead of panicking she was able to overcome the mistake by finding 'drafting' help from other cars and took advantage of a yellow caution on Lap 94 that enabled her to catch up to the main pack.
In May she placed 7th at the Kansas Speedway and in July she places 8th at Daytona in the Sprint Cup Coke Zero 400. Two top 10 finishes for Danica Patrick have some race insiders quietly predicting that she may soon be in the winners circle, a possibility that is making her endorsers and agents very, very excited.
