English actor Daniel Craig has revealed how he almost missed out on the chance to play James Bond, as he was not sure that the role was right for him. Daniel also admitted that he loves to feel challenged as an actor and, although he has played James Bond twice before, he does not feel in his comfort zone with the character.

Craig told OK!, “Am I in my comfort zone? No, not at all. I’d hate to feel in a comfort zone while working. You want to be challenged every day.”
Skyfall with be the third time that Daniel Craig has played James Bond and he is believed to have signed up to appear as 007 at least another two more times. However, James Bond was almost given to somebody else, as Daniel initially rejected the off to play the secret agent.

He added, “I was honoured I was asked, but I didn’t think it was right. At the time it didn’t make sense. The script [changed my mind]. It was great! We made a great movie and hope to make more, it’s really as simple as that.”
As well as Daniel Craig, the Sam Mendes directed Skyfall also stars Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Judi Dench. Skyfall is set to be released in the UK on October 26 before then being released in the UK on November 9.
