Daniel Craig recently had an interview with the Global Grind about his new film ‘Skyfall’, talking about Bond girls, what it’s like hitting rock bottom in real life, etc.

When Ben Lyons asks him whether there was ever a moment in his professional career that Craig, much like Bond in the film, felt like they hit rock bottom, Craig replies, “We haven’t got time for this discussion [laughs]. Always, acting is like lots of jobs, it has its ups and downs, and there’s a lots of kind of letdowns in acting, and you audition all the time and you don’t get the jobs in certain periods of my career. But you know, you keep going and somehow, you figure it out.”
Lyons also mentions that it’s the 50th anniversary of Bond and asks Craig what he thinks has made the character of James Bond stay so relevant for so long, and Craig replies, “It’s a long discussion, really, but I think the reason they’ve been making these films for so long is they’ve always kept them as an event, and they’ve never forgotten that these films are about the audience, nobody else, and you’ve got to kind of please them, and you know, Ian Fleming created a pretty great character, and I was lucky enough to have a go at him.”

Craig is also asked whether Beyonce or Rihanna would make a better Bond girl, and he replies, “Rihanna. She’s dirtier [laughs].”
