While people still insist on talking about who should play the next James Bond, we still have plenty more years of Daniel Craig in the lead role before we really need to worry about that. Daniel will play James Bond in the next movie and is expected to continue beyond that.
With the new James Bond movie in the process of being written, Daniel Craig has spoken about the film. Daniel has revealed what he hopes for from Bond 24, which will eventually get an official title, admitting that he would like to bring back some of the old style 007 to the film.
Craig told Vulture, "Hopefully we’ll reclaim some of the old irony. and make sure it doesn’t become pastiche. I can’t do shtick, I’m not very good at it. Unless it kind of suddenly makes sense. Does that make sense? I sometimes wish I hammed it up more, but I just can’t do it very well, so I don’t do it."
While there was a lot of speculation about whether or not Sam Mendes would return for Bond 24, with him initially saying that he would not, he has since had a change of heart and will be back to direct the movie.
