Daniel Day-Lewis is a legend, and it’s doubtful that there’s even one bad review of his performances on the Internet. However, Daniel disagrees and mentions that he’s still sensitive towards negative reviews. In the midst of awards season hoopla, Daniel mentioned in an interview, “I don`t go looking for reviews, but they tend to find you, good and band. People encourage you to look at both… I`m a sucker when people say nice things, and it`s unpleasant when people write unpleasant things. I`m still sensitive towards that.”

He also talks about how he doesn’t choose his roles based on money, saying, “I’ve been offered a lot of things over the years. But the sad truth is that I can’t really be tempted by money. Money just doesn’t do it for me. I’m sure I could be tempted by other things and corrupted in other ways but not by cold hard cash. In fact nothing does it for me that’s going to steer me away from what I feel the need to do in my work.”
He continues, saying, “It’s always been a very strong impulse and long ago I made a bargain with myself that I’d always follow my heart and that impulse.”
