English actor Daniel Radcliffe rose to stardom as the boy wizard Harry Potter in the hit movie franchise and he has been talking about working on the Harry Potter films. Daniel says that he feels that his time on the sets of the Harry Potter movies taught him a lot of manners and stopped him from getting carried away with his fame.

Radcliffe told Out Magazine, “I’ve got great parents who would never have allowed me to become a cocky, obnoxious sh*t. The thing I learned, much more than learning about acting, was learning about on-set etiquette. As a lead actor on a film you have a tremendous opportunity to influence the entire process by virtue of the attitude you take toward it every day. If you come in raring to go, ready and energised, nobody else has any excuses.”
It is just that attitude that Daniel Radcliffe took with him to the set of his new movie Kill Your Darlings, where he plays the American Poet Alan Kinsberg. Daniel impressed so much on the set of the movie, that he left a lasting impression on director John Krokidas, who was making his directorial debut.

Krokidas explained, “I thanked [him and other people we were with] for making my dream come true and then Dan turned to me and said, ‘Thank you for a beautiful collaboration and spending time with me to make such a beautiful performance. But more importantly, always remember this moment and remember all your friends who are just as talented but not yet as successful, and don’t let this go to your head.’ That is the credo that he lives by.”
As well as starring Daniel Radcliffe, Kill Your Darlings also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Dane DeHaan, Elizabeth Olsen and Michael C. Hall. Kill Your Darlings was also co-written by director John Krokidas and the movie featured at the Sundance Film Festival last month.
