It is not uncommon for the star of a television series to take a step behind the camera and direct an episode of the show. Stephen Moyer has done it for an episode on True Blood and now Chris O'Donnell has done it for an episode of NCIS: LA.

Daniela Ruah with her unique eye
When an actor does make the step behind the camera, to direct an episode of the show, they are usually supported by the rest of the cast and Chris O'Donnell is no different. Daniela Ruah, who plays Kensi Blye, has spoken of what a good job Chris did, admitting that she loved it.
Ruah explained, "I've loved it. The expectation of Chris directing was very exciting, especially because as a cast I think we're very open about giving each other ideas for scenes. So, knowing the kind of notes that Chris has given me before not as a director were always great, I was kind of positively expecting him to be great."
