Danielle Fishel has been on top of the world since reports confirmed that she and Ben Savage would be returning as grown up Cory and Topanga Matthews in the new show 'Girl Meets World'. In light of the news, Fishel covers Maxim Magazine and discusses the 'Boy Meets World' reunion that the cast had.
She explains that once they heard the news of 'Girl Meets World', she, Ben, and Rider Strong all met for dinner, adding, "We went to Rider’s house for dinner, and it was one of the more fun evenings I’ve had in my whole life. With the news of Girl Meets World coming out, we were kind of like, well, let’s actually have a reunion."
She also discusses the other hit 90s show 'Saved by the Bell, and whether she ever met Tiffani Thiessen. She says, "No, I don’t think I ever met Tiffani Thiessen! But I can tell you Kelly Kapowski was my first-ever girl crush. I remember watching her and thinking, Nobody in the world could possibly be as beautiful as she is. She’s still stunning."
In the rest of the interview, Fishel also discusses where her character got the name Topanga, whether the rumors of her dating Ben Savage are true, and how excited she is for 'Girl Meets World'. Viewers tuning into the show shouldn't expect the same Topanga, however, as she's definitely grown up. As evidenced by Maxim's cover, she has grown into her looks and figure, and is no longer the young, innocent kid she once was on 'Boy Meets World'.
