LA Galaxy’s English midfielder David Beckham has revealed how he is still a long way off of retiring from the sport. David claims that he is still absolutely loving the game and that he has been able to adapt his game with age. David also admitted that he would love to be involved in the Great Britain football team for the London 2012 Olympics and has previously put his name forward to captain the team.
Beckham explained, “I know what my limits are, what I can achieve and which passes I can play. So that's been my game over the last few years. I have adapted to my age, different situations and the position that I'm playing in. I still love playing; I still love being part of a team. Right now I'm not even thinking about retiring.”
He added, “I'd like to play for a GB football team because it's something that hasn't happened for many, many years. Hopefully I'll be fit, hopefully I'll be in form and hopefully I'll be playing." David Beckham recently signed a new two year contract with MLS side LA Galaxy, which will keep him at the club until the age of 38.
