The career of David Beckham was a very long and successful one, with the playing winning pretty much everything that the game has to offer, going on to become one of the biggest and most recognisable soccer stars on the planet. Now that David has retired though, there has been plenty of talk about what we can expect him to do in the next chapter of his life.
Well, as many of you may well know, David Beckham has been trying his hand at acting, appearing in his good friend Guy Ritchies movies The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and the upcoming Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur. This has led to some people suggesting that we could well see the superstar as a future James Bond actor, which David has now touched on.
Beckham said, "Apparently so. I haven't been contacted yet. That's not something that I want to do. There have been people saying this is the launch of my next career, and obviously as a person who has a friend like Guy Richie, he's asked me to be in a few things and I've done it, but just out of fun - I've enjoyed it, but that's as far as it will go."
With Daniel Craig being heavily tipped to step down as James Bond following the new movie Spectre, there has been a lot of talk about which actor will replace him as 007, with Luther actor Idris Elba being the favourite for the role. We guess we will just have to wait and see what Daniel Craig decides to do first.
