Singer David Byrne has insisted that a reunion for Talking Heads is very unlikely. Byrne admits that the band, who split in 1991, did so for creative difference. He also states that it wasn’t the friendliest of splits as there was a lot of animosity amongst the group.
David said, "I haven't heard any of those offers for a while. For a while yes - there was offers for Talking Heads to do a reunion tour and that sort of thing, but it didn't seem very likely." He continued, "We kind of separated for creative reasons - there was animosity - but that wasn't the only reason we went our own ways."
David Byrne collaborated with Fatboy Slim back in 2005 on his record Here Lies Love, which was never actually released. However Byrne did say, "It's not dead yet. I'm working with a theatre in New York - so it may see the light of day as a live production someday." David Byrne’s Ride, Rise and Roar concert film is available now on DVD.
