Now it is probably a bit unfair to call Tony Thompson a bum, since he has had fights for the heavyweight World title. However, who can honestly say that he actually deserved a shot at the title? He is not and never has been a World class boxer.
David Price knocks out Audley Harrison
As we all know, boxers in America love to beef up their records by fighting bums, in a bid to make them look world class and get these World title shots. Just look at Deontay Wilder, who has a knocked out all 26 of his opponents to date, yet he was only a sparring partner for Audley Harrison and didn't exactly look great then.
Speaking of Audley Harrison, in the same year that Tony Thompson fought for the World title, he edged past Dominick Guinn, who struggled against Audley. The same Audley Harrison who David Price wiped out in the first round of their fight earlier this year.
Tony Thompson getting battered by Wladimir Klitschko
David Price's last two fights were against Matt Skelton, who is 45 and has been over the hill for years and Audley Harrison, who is 41 and is the joke of boxing. Now he claims he is stepping up in class to fight Tony Thompson, who is 41 years old and got destroyed by Wladimir Klitschko earlier this year.
A fight between David Price and Tyson Fury needs to be made and it needs to be made now.
