There was so much trouble surrounding the Fantastic Four reboot before the film was even realised, with many fans voicing their concerns very early on. It was no surprise then, when the movie was finally released, that it turned out to be a huge flop, both critically and financially, leaving the stars of the Fantastic Four reboot to assess where their career will go from here.
Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds is a part of the Fox superhero family, taking on the role of Deadpool in the new, upcoming movie, and the actor has given his views on Fantastic Four. Ryan says that, while he is worried for all of the young stars of Fantastic Four, he is particularly worried about Michael B. Jordan and his future in the industry.
Reynolds explained, "I’m more frustrated about the Michael B. Jordan aspect than Miles Teller. You know, Miles Teller’s gonna recover. Miles Teller’s gonna go on to do amazing things, you know. It’s important that Michael B. Jordan continues to go on and do amazing things. I know it’s not easy for a black actor. It’s not easy for a female actor. It’s not easy for a lot of people that are … That entire cast is amazingly talented. And I wouldn’t wish that on anybody."
If anybody knows what it is like to see your acting career on the slide, then it is Ryan Reynolds, who saw a string of movies failing to hit the mark or impress, including the DC movie Green Lantern, which was considered a huge flop. Fortunately for Ryan though, he has managed to get his career back on track, although he admits that it was not easy and it did not feel good to experience such negativity.
Reynolds added, "I mean, I know what that feels like. It doesn’t feel good. And it also is difficult, because you don’t feel like you can control that outcome. You know, as much as you want to. You really can’t."
With all that said, Michael B. Jordan does already have plenty of new movie projects coming out over the course of the next few years, starting with the new Rocky movie titled Creed, which sees him play the son of Apollo Creed. Surely that won't flop!
