Deeksha Seth and Armaan Jain, her "Lekar Hum Dewana Di" co-star were recently pulled over by the police in Goa for riding a motorbike without a licence and speeding and needed the assistance of crew members to convince the authorities that they were practicing for a scene in their film.
It is ironic that the attractive actress and her co-star Armaan Jain, the popular cousin of Kareena Kapoor were pulled over because it is precisely these sorts of antics that the film addresses, the philosophy of the younger generation who generally "act first, think later".
In the movie she plays the best friend of Dino, played by Armaan Jain, a biker boy who is the life of any party that he attends. He is looked at as unpredictable and she is his friend, his partner in mischief, a thrill-seeking beauty who loves having fun. According to the producer the film revolves around making mistakes, growing up and the challenges associated with making relationships work and how some relationships can and cannot work due to the expectations placed upon them.
The movie represents an opportunity for her to play a role that is very likely not far removed from some of the challenges she has probably had to face in her life as a beautiful young woman who is the object of affection of many young men. The great part about this role is that it will allow her to tap into her own life experiences and show those dimensions on screen which will enable her to connect with the audience.
In life it is quite often the case that young men will do things to impress attractive young women. The fact that she and her co-star were caught by police has some in the entertainment industry wondering if the feminine charms of Deeksha Seth helped motivate her co-star to jump on the motorbike and speed and if her movie character is similar to her real-life persona.
A beautiful woman who can play a thrill-seeker and partner in mischief will bring fans, male and female to the movie theaters and that is what Deeksha Seth will likely help achieve in the move "Lekar Hum Dewana Di".
