Denzel Washington loves playing bad guys

American Gangster actor Denzel Washington has revealed that he much prefers playing the bad guy in movies, rather than playing the good guy. Denzel, who has played a mixture of both good guys and bad guys in his long and illustrious career, claims that playing the bad guy is better because you get to have more fun with it.

Washington explained, "It's cliché to say, but bad guys have more fun. You can get away with more." He continued by adding, "In playing a real character who's heroic, you're kind of stuck. There's only so much you can get away with. But [the] bad guy can say anything."

You can next seen Denzel Washington performing on the big screen, when he stars alongside Ryan Reynolds, Vera Farmiga and Brendan Gleeson, in the Daniel Espinosa directed Crime Thriller Safe House. The movie is set to be released in the US on February 10, 2012 and then in the UK on February 24, 2012.
