Training Day actor Denzel Washington is one of those actors who makes sure that he is able to give his all when it comes to getting into the mindset of his characters. With his latest film Safe House, Denzel has continued his trend of becoming theoretically trained, by reading up on sociopaths and what it is that makes them tick.
Washington explained, "I read this book called 'The Sociopath Next Door,' and that was like my Bible, that I related to. The traits of a sociopath: No conscience, no sense of remorse, usually atheist, just always want to win, dominate.... He's about to get water boarded and he's telling the guy he brought the wrong towels. He's still trying to win." Denzel also admitted that he was not going to apologise for the films R rating.
He added, "It's rated 'R' and it is what it is. It's an intense film, it's not a comedy." Denzel Washington appears in the Daniel Espinosa directed movie Safe House, alongside Ryan Reynolds, Vera Farmiga and Brendan Gleeson. Safe House is set to be released on February 10 in the US and then on February 24 in the UK.
