Derren Brown reveals the truth behind Apocalypse “actor”

There have been a number of rumours online that Derren Brown has tried to trick the general public (not in his usual way) by using an actor for his new show Apocalypse. However, Derren has now taken to his official website to clear up the matter once and for all.

The problem was, that Steven Brosnan, who was set up by Derren Brown to believe that the world had ended, looks extremely similar to an actor named Karl Greenwood, who appeared in a noodle ad. They are not the same person and Steven has never appeared on television as an actor.

There was then a picture of Steven with Adam Buxton talking about filming for a pilot television show. This was Steven and Adam Buxton was filming in Steven’s home town, with Steven in the audience, not in the show, Again, Steven has never appeared on television as an actor.

Steven Brosnan was just a regular guy who happened to fit the criteria that Derren Brown and the team were looking for to set up for Apocalypse. He is not an actor. Derren stated, “I have never, ever used stooges or actors in that way. It’s artistically repugnant, lazy and just unnecessary.” Read the full response from Derren Brown here!
