There have been a lot of impressive characters on television over the years but, while it is pretty much impossible to recast most of the characters on television these days, there is still one character that makes it look so easy. Doctor Who have been recasting the lead role for decades now and the show still manages to draw in quite an impressive audience every week.

Jenna Coleman with Matt Smith
Actress Jenna Coleman plays the role of Clara in Doctor Who, first teaming up with Matt Smith as the Doctor, before then teaming up with Peter Capaldi, who took over from Matt as the Doctor. Jenna has now opened up about moving on from Matt Smith with Peter Capaldi.
Coleman told Digital Spy, "No, not really, I wasn't, 'cos when I found out it was Peter [Capaldi], I was still filming with Matt, so I was very involved there and we were having a great time and kind of doing our goodbyes. But then me and Peter went out for lunch... I didn't tell Matt that, actually! It was like two-timing - and we both ordered omelettes and chips and from then on I knew it was going to be great!"

She added, "He's so easy to talk to, instantly, and actually, from the first day on set, one thing I really noticed was he just totally had my back from day one. Even though it was his first day, he really looks after the people around him. It's great 'cos we're mates, and it's funny because we're such different ages, but we're just totally really good buddies. It's lovely."
There have been suggestions that Jenna Coleman will leave Doctor Who this year, which has led to a lot of suggestions about which actress should replace her on the show, while also asking whether Jenna will follow Karen Gillan to Hollywood.
