There have been a lot of talented actors play the role of the Doctor in the hit series Doctor Who over the years but they all end up leaving the role at some stage or another. The last person to play the Doctor in Doctor Who was Matt Smith and he British actor left the role to head to Hollywood to pursue some bigger and better roles on the big screen.
While this was seen as a bit of a risk by some people, Matt Smith has already been proving that he made the right choice, as he has already managed to land some interesting movie roles in Hollywood. Matt will appear in the Ryan Gosling directorial debut Lost River, which was previously titled How to Catch a Monster, and it looks like he has added another top project to his schedule.
It has been reported that Matt Smith has signed on to join the cast of the Terminator reboot movie Terminator: Genesis and it looks like it is going to be a very important role. While the exact role has yet been confirmed, the reports suggest that Matt will play a big role in Terminator: Genesis, which will grow to an even bigger one in the future sequels.
Matt Smith joins an already very impressive cast in Terminator: Genesis, which will see Emilia Clarke in the role of Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke playing John Connor, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese, and the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger to one of his most famous roles. Terminator: Genesis is directed by Alan Taylor and will open on June 26, 2015 in the UK and July 1, 2015 in the US.
